Margaret Carroll

is president of the Millville Historical Society and a member of the Massachusetts Historical Commission. Ms. Carroll is being recognized for her years as a strong supporter of historical preservation of her community that borders Rhode Island's Blackstone River Valley


Eric Delin

is a noted Pawtucket-based product designer that works on many advertising, branding, digital media and packaging for local and national clients. Mr. Delin is a leader in Pawtucket's creative community and the live/work spaces that are helping to bolster urban revitalization in the city.


Ann Jalette

is the owner/manager of Vose True Value Hardware in Woonsocket and an award-winning holiday designer. Ms. Jalette is a founding member of Blackstone Valley Independent Business Alliance, on the organizing committee for the Blackstone Valley's Tribute to the Greatest Generation, assisted in the Northern RI "Wall of Hope Project" at the Museum of Work and Culture, and a long-time community volunteer for such organizations as St Ann Art & Cultural Center.


Roger Lapierre

is the owener of Li'l General Convenience Stores, a prominent site in their home city of Woonsocket and nearby towns of the Blackstone River Valley. Mr. Lapierre is being recognized for his assistance in helping other Woonsocket small businesses grow, and his public campaign for customers to support and buy from local small businesses in their communities.

Don Leighton

has over 38 years of practical experience as a landscape architect and has built an extensive reputation throughout New England. Mr. Leighton is being recognized for his work in the development of several cultural and recreational assets in Blackstone Valley, such as Central Falls' Chocolate Mill Overlook and the bikeway segment behind Pawtucket's City Hall.

Providence & Worcester Railroad

is being recognized for its 170 years as the prime transportation service in the region - moving freight for area companies - as well as serving Blackstone Valley Tourism Council's popular themed rail excursions.
